Whitby Health and Social Care Organisations:
Coast & Vale Community Action
Seachange Community Trust and Ryedale Voluntary Action merged on 1st April 2014 to become Coast & Vale Community Action (CaVCA)
CaVCA is now the Local Support & Development Organisation or Council for Voluntary Service for Scarborough Borough and Ryedale District.
Our work includes offering Advice, Support and Information for the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector, along with ensuring that there are opportunities for the VCSE Sector to engage with emerging Health & Social Care Agendas, and to support our statutory sector colleagues to deliver their services.
In the near future we are planning to create a Directory of Local VCSE Sector organisations on our network.
In the meantime, should you require information about VCSE Sector organisations who are based in and/or working in the Whitby area, and about the services they provide please contact:
Richard Weightman, Funding & Development Manager, Coast & Vale Community Action
01723 362205 or richard.weightman@cavca.org.uk
We have information on VCSE Sector organisations working in areas such as Health & Social Care (inc. Disability, & Mental Health), Community Transport, Sport, Arts & Culture, Faith, and Community Groups of all kinds.
The VCS Directory is maintained by the North Yorkshire and York Forum in partnership with organisations in York and North Yorkshire. The organisations provide support and development advice to voluntary and community groups
V-hive is an interactive online resource for the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in North Yorkshire. Access information and support and get connected with other local VCSE organisations, businesses, and individuals.
