How challenging do you think it is for people in the Yorkshire Dales to get to hospital appointments?
We've created a film which demonstrates how much of a distance it actually is from Hawes, right up in the Dales, to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough. That's a distance of 56 miles and a travel time of an hour and a half (on a good day). We've speeded up the film, of course.
And this is for someone who drives! Using public transport will present even greater challenges, and turns a trip to hospital for an appointment into more of a day out.
Therefore, HRW CCG is working with South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Yorkshire County Council to examine how more care can be provided closer to home for people in the Dales.
Over the coming months we'll be updating you about this project - please keep an eye out during autumn 2015. The easiest way to stay up to date is to join our Health Engagement Network - it's free and easy to do. Click here for more details.
